Behind the Lens

Hi there – It’s Nicole Aldridge… the lady behind the lens.  =)

Choosing a professional photographer to capture your family or wedding can sometimes weigh heavily on a person!  I hope to help make this decision as easy as possible for you by giving you as much information as I can about what to expect from me and our session together, so you will feel confident that you are choosing the right photographer!

My style is fun, relaxed, and simple.  My strength is using natural light to produce knockout images for you.  While we’re together and away from the normal rush of life, my goal is to capture images showing what one would see if they snuck into your home or life and caught you laughing and playing together.  (You know… those true laughs, looks and smiles that we all have when no one else is watching!)  I find that with a little posing assistance and allowing you all to interact naturally, those moments are easy to capture!  (And if all else fails, I’ll provide you with a little goofiness if needed…just please promise not to hold it against me for years to come, lol!)

Having two children of my own, I fully understand that kids sometimes need a little extra time, patience, and humor to settle in and get comfortable with the camera and the day.  I will do whatever it takes to make that happen!  I cannot tell you how many times little ones have shown up to a session completely wired, and their parents have been terribly stressed and worried that we wouldn’t be able to capture a single “Wow” image.  You’d be amazed at how possible it is to work with this type of energy and make it work, and honestly, I believe it only comes with experience!  But don’t just take my word for it…please take a look at the website for a full portfolio of my work and see for yourself.  Additionally, I will happily provide you with referrals of clients if you would like to ask any questions about their experiences as well.  =)

I’m located in Wilmington, DE, and am available for travel within the Tri-State area.  On-location sessions are held at local parks, gardens, at your home, or wherever else you can dream up for us to hold a session!  If you’re stumped on ideas, I have plenty of great places to suggest.
